Our excellent Parliamentary Candidate, Susan Hinchcliffe is working hard on the doorstep every week with our council candidates for the May 2010 local elections.

We also have a councillor in Windhill & Wrose, Vanda Greenwood, who has served the community for coming on six years and will be up for re-election in 2010.

Saltaire roundabout consultation meeting - March 16th

A special neighbourhood forum meeting is being held on 16th March at 7.30pm at Victoria Hall, Saltaire to look at the revised plans for Saltaire Roundabout.

A group of residents has been working with Traffic Engineers for the last 6 months on developing solutions to make the roundabout less dangerous.  They are now in a position to show these plans to other residents for their feedback. 

Locally this is an issue which has worried residents for a long time.  The Labour government has allocated £4 for improvements to the roundabout and surrounding areas.
