Thank you if you voted Labour

We just wanted to say thank you to the 14,058 people across the constituency who voted Labour in the general election.  Naturally we are disappointed to have lost but we are proud of the positive campaign we have fought and will continue to make the case for Labour, the only party to have a track record of delivering fairness and social justice.  On the plus side we have done well in the local elections with our excellent Labour Councillor in Windhill & Wrose, Vanda Greenwood, winning her seat with an increased 536 majority - a fantastic achievement.

Susan Hinchcliffe, Labour parliamentary candidate, said, "It has been a real privilege to represent Labour in Shipley, the place where I was born and brought up. I am very grateful for all the support and goodwill that has been shown towards me in the last 3 years and will continue working hard with Shipley Labour party to serve local people.  Thank you to everyone who voted Labour this year"
